Premarital Counseling
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! If you would like to participate in counseling for covenant marriage, I can do that with you. Counseling for Covenant Marriage in AZ only requires that you meet with a counselor or member of the clergy so that you fully understand the requirements and expectations of covenant marriage, along with some legal paperwork.
Premarital counseling targets certain areas such as communication, finances, extended family relationships and conflict resolution. For couples who have started to notice some potential problem areas, we may focus specifically on those areas to help improve communication and insight.
For those who are entering a second marriage or already have children or have some complicated family of origin stressors, premarital counseling may also focus on how to:
- successfully blend families
- notice when previous relationship patterns/triggers are affecting the current relationship
- handle difficult family issues as a couple
If you are looking to just fulfill the requirements of covenant marriage, that can be done in about 2 sessions.
